About the Show: Max and Ruby is an animated series based on book series by Rosemary Wells. The series debuted in 2002 on the Canadian TV channel Treehouse. The show is for preschool children. The series depicts the seven-year-old bunny sister Ruby and three-year-old Max. Max and Ruby lived with their grandmother. Recently the show got on Netflix which was the reason it came under the notice all over again.
Although the show is interesting, several things need to be answered, for instance, one thing that is most asked about in the series is why the lead cartoon bunny Max doesn’t talk. There are many unofficial theories about the show concerning why Max is quiet almost all of the time. Some fake statement was affiliated with the producers of the show that Max has some head trauma which he sustained during the car accident which was also the reason why his parents are dead. This head trauma is a major reason why Max is silent.
Finally, Speculation Ends.. Nickelodeon finally aired an episode that features Max and Ruby’s parents and thus putting to rest all the theories about the silence of Max and the absence of their parents. Rejecting all those theories that they were maybe attacked by the wolf, or maybe their parents left the bunnies leaving them to be properly raised by their grandmother.
The creator of the show, Rosemary Wells appeared on the show and told the reason why the characters Max and Ruby are alone most of the time was “ we don’t see Max and ruby’s parents because I believe that kids resolve their issues and conflicts differently when they are on their own”, posted by Nick Jr.s website. We wonder what took so long for the clarification by the show makers on these questions. But whatever the reason it’s all sorted out after the Max and Ruby appearance on the show but the reason for max quietness is still a mystery to most of us. Overall it’s an entertaining show.
